Lyall Hakaraia is a stylist and fashion designer who makes exclusive clothing for private clients, personalities and fashion editors on commission. He has collaborated extensively with leading stylists to include Patti Wilson , Marie Amelie Sauve, Vanessa Reid and Ann-Marie Curtis and made clothes for personalities to include Lady Gaga, Madonna and Beyonce.
Currently Lyall is mentoring young British fashion talents to include Charles Jeffery LOVERBOY .
His work in the heady world of fashion lead him open his own venue ‘VFdalston’ which is now a mainstay of East London. A keen supporter of all things underground and transgressive VFdalston is a safe space for many marginalised communities and actively supports many artists and charities .
Through his Creative Direction of VFdalston Lyall has had the opportunity to direct and curate work at arts centres including the ICA , Barbican and the Tate and out to the golden fields of Glastonbury and beyond to working in both Australia and New Zealand .
Lyall is also working on a film following the life of his friend Trans figure head and writer Rhyannon Styles and is compiling and book the nightlife of Dalston as it has passed through the doors of his venue.
